At CAPRIGHTS-VP, we believe that lasting change begins when vulnerable people and communities are empowered to understand their rights, access opportunities, overcome barriers, and actively participate in shaping their own futures.
Our approach is rooted in human rights, social justice, community participation, and inclusion. We work alongside vulnerable and marginalized people, particularly women and girls, survivors of abuse and violence, children, youth, persons with disabilities, widows and widowers, elderly persons, and underserved communities.
As a grassroots organization, we recognize that vulnerability is often driven by interconnected challenges such as poverty, inequality, discrimination, violence, social exclusion, and limited access to justice and opportunities.
We educate and inform vulnerable people about their rights, available services, and opportunities through community sensitization, outreach programmes, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
We prevent and respond to domestic violence, gender-based violence, harmful practices, discrimination, and exploitation.
We promote child rights, strengthen community child protection systems, and advocate against abuse and exploitation.
Through legal aid, mediation, referrals, and advocacy, we help vulnerable people access justice and protect their rights.
Through livelihood support, entrepreneurship, vocational training, financial literacy, and VSLA initiatives.
Through counselling, referrals, and community support systems, we help survivors rebuild confidence, resilience, and hope.
Every person deserves dignity, equality, protection, and justice.
Communities are active partners, not passive beneficiaries.
Marginalized groups are represented, heard, and supported.
Equal rights, opportunities, and protection for women and girls.
Ethical practices and transparency guide our work.
We invest in solutions that create long-term positive change.
We believe that when vulnerable people are informed, protected, empowered, and connected to justice, opportunities, and support systems, they are better able to exercise their rights, improve their livelihoods, and contribute to sustainable development.
At CAPRIGHTS-VP, we remain committed to ensuring that no one is left behind. Every programme, partnership, and intervention we undertake is designed to protect rights, restore dignity, strengthen communities, and create pathways to a more just, inclusive, and equitable society.
We cover the 36 states of Nigeria, and we are also looking at regional collaborations.
